Alex Kinter is an award-winning Director, Creative, Producer/DJ, and Cinematographer based in Dallas, Texas, with over 15 years of experience bringing bold creative vision to life across commercial video, brand design, and live performance.

Born in Cali, Colombia, and raised between Florida and Texas, Alex developed an early interest in photography and design before studying Art Direction & Photography at Texas A&M University-Commerce. He went on to earn a Digital Imaging & Post-Processing Technician certification through RED Digital Cinema Education in Hollywood, CA.

Alex began his career in photography and cinematography before moving into directing, working alongside entertainment host Paul Salfen on The Drew Pearson Show, Sports Plus, and Inside Entertainment. That early experience in the Dallas market led him to found Kinter Media, where he's since worked with clients including AT&T, Marriott, Mercedes-Benz, Hublot, and the Dallas Cowboys — coverage of his work has appeared in the press, including LA Weekly, Dallas Observer, and Yahoo News.

Alex's work has earned over 20 international film festival awards, including a Platinum Remi from Houston WorldFest and Best Director and Best Cinematographer honors from the European Cinematography Awards.

Early Life
Alex Kinter was born and raised in Cali, Colombia, and moved to Florida with his mother at age five. His father's career as a regional manager for a chain of furniture rental stores later brought the family to Texas. An early interest in action sports and the arts led Alex into graphics, computers, and web development as a teenager; he picked up photography during his junior year of high school, which became his first real training in lighting and composition.

Building Kinter Media
After completing his early education in 2012, Alex entered the entertainment industry professionally — starting in photography and cinematography before moving into directing. For several years, he worked alongside entertainment host Paul Salfen on The Drew Pearson Show, Sports Plus, and Inside Entertainment, with additional bylines in Envy Magazine, 944 Magazine, and ScoreBoard Monthly. That early commercial and editorial experience in the Dallas market led him to found Kinter Media, now working across major markets including Dallas, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Chicago, New York, and Miami.

Beyond the Camera
Alex directed and produced the Poolside award-winning short film alongside writer/director Erik Schuessler, starring Anne Beyer. He's also stepped in front of the camera occasionally, appearing in David Lee's music video "Bringing Hippie Back." Alex recently directed and produced the award-winning short film Poolside alongside writer/director Erik Schuessler and starring Anne Beyer.
